Sabiha

Talića brdo Street 1

“I was born in 1948. That year the post-war work construction of Zenica’s steel mill began. The steel mill was one of the symbols of the city. It turned the small town into a city. I spent 11 years of my working life in the ironworks. Most of the buildings you see around you are the result of the urban and demographic expansion and the development of Zenica during the socialist industrialization.”

“The place you’re about to visit in a bit, Naš most association, is where we – elderly women – paint with irons, have fun, socialize and take care of our mental health.”

Gordana

Former “Metalurg” Hotel (now “Dubrovnik” Hotel)

“Where the boutiques are now situated there was the hotel’s huge summer garden. One of the most beautiful places in the city. I often went to dance parties there with my husband.”
